William, born in 1985 in Hackney, London has been a resident in Mersham for almost 20 years and is an administrator at a local school. For the past four year he has represented Stour Ward in Ashford. During this time he has gained experience on dealing with issues facing the Borough.
As a Councillor for Stour ward he has championed residents on many issues including fighting unwanted housing developments and taking measures to combat anti-social behaviour. William is a Governor at Mersham Primary School as well as a member of the Ashford Twinning Association. As Chairman of the Ashford Youth Forum, William worked for better facilities and services for young people in the Borough.
As a representative for Saxon Shore he will improve access to local needs housing and ensure young people are able to remain in the villages they have grown up in. Also, give greater powers to rural residents when discussing Ashford’s growth.
William believes that local government must move with the times, LEARN lessons from the past, LISTEN to local residents and LEAD the community to a better future.
