October’s issue of Ashford voice is out now

Ashford Voice is back with heaps of news, fun features and exciting upcoming events.

In this month’s issue, read about how Ashford is cracking down on litter bugs with our new litter enforcement initiative, discover more about the new Community Toilet Scheme, and read about how Ashford as a borough has come together to welcome, resettle and help integrate the most vulnerable refugees from the camps around the Syrian border. We also have news on Ashford’s new grounds maintenance service called Aspire.

You can also find out about Ashford College’s ‘Topping Out Ceremony’ which celebrated an important construction milestone - the first of Ashford’s Big 8 projects to reach this advanced stage.

In other news, dog owners will be interested in knowing that they must have their dog microchipped under new government laws. We have all the details on where you can get this done. There’s also plenty of community news as local volunteers get involved in litter picks to help keep the borough looking its best. Plus see what T-CAT have been up to lately to spruce up the town centre.

We are also delighted to announce that Ashford Borough Council received two awards at the prestigious Engagement Excellence Awards, held at the Natural History Museum in London.

In addition, we reveal our three lucky competition winners from our Summer Subscribers Competition.

There’s also tips and advice on how you can stay safe on bonfire night or even Halloween if you’re thinking of hosting a firework display.

Don’t forget to share any articles you like on Facebook and Twitter, and let Voice know of any great local events happening near you. You can also enjoy Ashford Voice on your mobile phone or tablet, and hard copies are available to view in Ashford and Tenterden Gateways.
