It has been an enormous privilege to represent the people of one of the loveliest parts of England on Kent County Council. My division is centred on the ancient town of Tenterden and includes the beautiful villages of Biddenden, High Halden, Kenardington, Stone, Appledore, Wittersham, Rolvenden and Newenden.

I have been pleased to help residents with a wide range of issues. These include the usual Highways problems; potholes, speed limits, signage, drainage etc; education concerns over school admissions and school transport and over the last year of course the welfare demands caused by Covid-19.

The next few years, as the country recovers from the pandemic, promise to be a testing time. I look forward to doing all I can to help the residents in my division face the future challenges.

I went to a state grammar school, then to Oxford University, where I read chemistry, and I had a successful business career in very large companies, including Unilever, Tesco, Safeway and Shell. I am recently retired, fit and energetic, with an active brain.
