Welcome to the official website of the Ashford Conservative Association, one of the most active and vibrant Associations around.
The parliamentary boundary includes local council areas - Ashford, Tenterden and Kent County Council - we have many local politicians who are relentless in their support of local residents, wards, local businesses and our local communities. Indeed, we are fortunate to have one of the best run councils in the country under the leadership of Gerry Clarkson.
In Damian Green, we have an excellent Member of Parliament who was first elected in 1997 and chosen by the most open of selection processes. In the 2017 General Election, Damian showed that his close contact with all the local community and hard work in supporting his constituents giving him an increased vote.
By clicking on this site, you will get a taste of who we are and what we are up to, with a regular stream of local news and views. You will also get a flavour of local events and campaigns.
Both during and between election campaigns we collect and analyse views on local issues and keep residents up to date with the successes of elected Conservatives that improve their communities.
We hold a variety of social events throughout the year which are open to members and non-members alike. These draw high-profile guest speakers from the world of politics and business. These are great fun, a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded people and help us to raise the funds we need to win elections.
We encourage all Conservative supporters who live or work in the constituency to attend our events, and join our Association and become actively involved in our work (we offer various discounts for Young Conservative members and the Armed Forces) you can even join as a Friend.
